[Dailydrool] Play-aggression

I have recently got Watson aged 5 from rescue and he is lovely, with a few
little issues (i.e. he hates the vet and needed to be muzzled!) But one
thing I have noticed since I have had him (10 weeks now) is that he
absolutely loves playing chase - in that he doesn't want to chase the ball,
but wants to chase the dogs chasing the ball - but he plays a little too
hard. I think he means to be friendly, and he can play for absolutely
ages, but when he does the chase bit, if he catches the dogs up he always
attempts to bite them. If they stop running completely and stand still, he
won't do anything. Any bigger dogs aren't generally worried about it and
will give as good as they get, and they seem to enjoy it, but definitely
smaller dogs get worried about it and sometimes the owner will pick them up
and take them away, or I will stop Watson before it gets to that point.
Has anyone else had a dog that has done this, and is there any way of
trying to stop the biting bit? I am also going to try a behaviourist. I
have also noticed triggers for a fight for him are very large and usually
intact males.
Thanks
