Our Bobo also had to be muzzled at the vet, or any time you were going to handle his feet or look at his belly. He would tolerate a chest rub but woe to the person who dared to touch below his rib cage! We'd never had to muzzle a dog before, but accepted that it had to be done. He was never vicious; just very protective of his personal space.

Emma will exhibit the same chase and nip behavior you're seeing with Watson, Becky. She is part Australian cattle dog so for her, it's probably the heeler instincts coming out. A dog behaviorist told us some dogs have a very high prey drive and the sight of another running animal can trigger it. She advised us not to let Emma get into chase situations with smaller dogs, and that might be good advice for Watson. It's a great idea to see a dog behaviorist. They can give good tips on dealing with behaviors you haven't encountered before. Watson is a beautiful boy!

Fingers and paws are crossed in the Leader pack for Nana's continued improvement. No jinxes!
