Debbies Dawgs October $5 Friday is next week on October 4th.
Our rescue will be Suncoast BHR in Florida, who has 44 seniors.
Can you imagine how much they cost the rescue every month? I will attach one of the seniors in their care - I wish you could see the tumors on his eye lids when they got him - they were on the underside and had to be bothering his eye balls.

Please consider a donation to help Suncoast with their seniors - just about all of us have had our share of senior expenses and know they are pricey. Paypal (PLEASE use the friend option so there are no fees) to debbiesdawgs at icloud.com <mailto:debbiesdawgs at icloud.com> or send a check to
Debbie’s Dawgs, 177 Mountain Vista Blvd. Canton GA. 30115.

Last month, Carolina BHR got a lot of their supporters on board and we raised $4564 for their seniors. We’d love to do the same for Suncoast. Don’t ever think that just $5 won’t help because it will and it does.

Here’s the info on Scooby, one of the hounds that is still not medically stable - cute red and white boy.

Scooby (8 YRO) was an Owner Surrender in April, due to not being able to give him the medical care he needed for his eyes and a raging UTI. He was seen at an eye specialist and had surgery to remove tumors from his eyelids. This was a cost of $800
Scooby had his teeth cleaned along with 2 extractions and he has a follow up for his eyelid tumors in December with the ophthalmologist.
Dr. Carastro is pleased with the right eyelid and thinks he’s all set there but the left eyelid has some thickening or maybe the tumor is possibly growing back, we’re keeping a close eye on it just in case it starts to grow quickly.
He has really bad hips and takes Rimadyl every morning so he can get up easier and enjoy his time playing and running around outside.
He’s had a rough life and will need to be on Rimadyl, fish oil and glucosamine chondroitin permanently for his joints.
He’s had 3 UTI’s so far or the first one never really cleared up and he recently had an ultrasound which determined that he has a very enlarged prostate.
Dr. Murray has him on Zeniquin and another antibiotic for about 3 weeks as of now and she said she’ll probably continue them for another 3 – 6 weeks depending on what the next ultrasounds show.
This is the third round of antibiotics and I think the Zeniquin is helping him but the only down side is he doesn’t want to eat much so that’s a challenge.
He was also chewing his pads and feet when he came in from the yard so he’s been on Apoquel for about a month and it’s really helping.
After 5 months in our care, Scooby is still not medically released.

Thanks

Donna, drool fueler for Maggie and YaYa
