[Dailydrool] Dress Codes at Doggie shows

You want to convey to the Judge that this is a great dog and you also
respect the time the Judge spent learning how to Judge and his time
actually at the show.
At the same time you want to appear to be at least as spiffy as your dog so
yes, wear a skirt or dress in the ring, wear flat shoes in a dark color
(sparkling white sneakers detract from the dog, they really do) and smile
no matter what. After all, this is FUN isn't it? (And you are proud of your
dog).

If you just cannot bring yourself to wear skirts, buy a really nice pair of
dress slacks and a blazer for the smaller shows and something nicer in that
line for the big shows. It is all tradition. The entire thing-- the dog
show itself-- is very traditional.
