[Dailydrool] Grain Free vs Grained food

Our vet also recommended we put the hounds on a grained food after the
study came out. We have Suzy who has a super sensitive belly and every
grained food we've tried has bothered her. She either gets terrible
diarrhea or her poor belly sounds like there is an alien about to jump out
and she's miserable. We decided that, since she is 12 and will be 13 in
April and Shadow is 13 and will be 14 in March, that the grain free food
hasn't hurt them and we're going to continue to use it. I was a little
suspicious of one of the studies that I read because it talked about the
cardiac consequences of grain free food and, at the end, it was promoting a
specific kind of dog food. I also heard that there are specific breeds who
are in more jeopardy than others for the cardiac problems associated with
grain free products. We've been using Taste of the Wild for quite a while
now (I have no affiliation with this company) and everyone is healthy and
well and, other than the heart murmur that Shadow has always had, no one
has had any cardiac problems related to what they're eating.

The hounds send healing drool to all in need.
