[Dailydrool] Grain-free vs Grained dog food

I got the same schpeel as Jane from our vet about switching Charlie and Paige to grain-free food from Taste of the Wild. She said they had actually had one case of cardiomyopathy in their practice, but she was on the fence about it all, because the facts are new and not proven. I schpeeled back, and told her I had researched the issue back when it became big news, and that Taste of the Wild sold 220,000 bags of kibble in the same time period that heart issues were found in 57 dogs. I told her that didn’t prove cause-and-effect to me, and that our hounds were happy, healthy, and have very clean ears with the TOTW, so we’ll stick with it.
