Hi Julie,

I’m so sorry Guinness is struggling.  I can give you two pieces of advice from my own experience.  First, think of his 3 favorite things to do.  When he can no longer do 2 of them it’s probably his time.  And the second is that a day too early is better than a day too late — animals are stoic and they hurt more than they let on.
