[Dailydrool] Phred's Red

We have been avoiding reading the Drool for the last week or so.  
The loss of so many of our beautiful friends has been heartbreaking to read. Please accept our condolences, our prayers and crossed paws are with each and everyone of you.
Special prayers for Lou.  We grieve for the loss of Pat.
It is truly amazing how virtual strangers are bound together through our love for Bassets.  I feel Blessed to be a part of this wonderful community.

Finally I have some happy news to share.  
I'm sure many of you remember Robert Amox's partner in crime, Phred.
Last year after Phred's journey to the Bridge, Robert (who is a vintner) told us that he planned to dedicate a wine to Phred.
Long story short, I kept in contact with Robert and today I received two bottles of Phred's Red.
The label has a picture of Phred on the front and a short story about him on the back.
Robert will donate a part of the proceeds from the sales to animal rescue in Phred's memory.
I'm not a big wine drinker or a connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination, but Robert's stories about Phred on the Drool were entertaining and I wanted to have to have something to Honor his memory.
Robert told me he is planning on making an announcement about the availability of Phred's Red, but I'm so happy about getting some, I jumped the gun.
Tomorrow Janie Anne's vet staff and I will lift a glass of Phred's Red in tribute to all Bassets and their slaves.
