[Dailydrool] Thanks to everyone

I want to thank everyone for wishing me a happy birthday. Arlene and Katie
thank you for the beautiful cards. I had a dog show yesterday and an
opportunity to see just how little time I have spent training Conley and how
awful he was in the ring! LOL. Back to class for both of us. He looks like
something I just brought in off the street.
I worked with him later and once again learned that being forceful with a
Basset, especially this one, is counter-productive. Did the neighbors wonder
why I was out in front with the dog flat on the ground refusing to move? (I
need him to put his head up, get his nose off the floor.)
We will try again today altho I have been working with him a bit and will
get him out before the show and do some work.
Anyway thank you all again for the lovely birthday wishes and I barely feel
a day over....oh...maybe 95.
