Pat Stories - The Unwanted Dinner Guest 

All stories are true but names are changed to protect the guilty!

 

Pat had an acquaintance that was more than a little odd. We will call her
Lorrie. Lorrie had hired Pat's sister Janice as a babysitter and
subsequently had an acquaintance with Pat. Lorrie was more than a "little
odd" ... she was just plain old nuts. She got in the habit of showing up at
Pat's house about 4:30 PM every day and hanging around for hours, with Pat
eventually needing to have dinner and Lorrie inviting herself to stay. This
went on for quite a while, with Pat getting more and more aggravated each
time. Finally, Pat was done messing around and the next time Lorrie showed
up and stayed for dinner, Pat calmly put the dinner plates on the floor for
the dogs to clean after they had eaten. Then Pat picked up the plates and
put them in the cupboard. Lorrie pointed out to Pat that she hadn't washed
the dishes. Pat told her that she never did and that the dogs always cleaned
them up just fine. Lorrie never stayed for dinner again.
